I love little Pokemon fans
I had another run in with a young Pokemon fan at work. This girl was carrying a Shaymin around and she was adorable! Like with the previous girl, I mentioned the Pokemon by name and as I was helping her parents, she pulls out her other plushes! We talked a little Pokemon and as they were leaving, she asked me what my favorite Pokemon was.
Yeah, whenever I see a kid with Pokemon stuff, I’m bringing it up. Even though Pokemon will never again be the craze it was back when I was a kid, it’s obviously still something kids have a passion for. Both of the girls I met were very knowledgeable of the series and it just takes me back to the ’90s. I love it.
And yes, kids today do know Gen I and II. Nintendo and Gamefreak have done a great job of keeping the older Pokemon alive.
